Hedgehog feeding station
How to make a feeding station for your visiting hedgehog.
Many people say they would love to put food out in the evening for hedgehogs but they don't want to attract cats in doing so. This idea is tried and tested and does work.
Use a rectangular shaped plastic washing up bowl or something similar. Cut a 4" hole in one of the short sides. Place this over the dish of food and push the dish to the back. A brick in front of the feeding station will deter visiting cats. It will stop them from lying down and scooping the food off the dish with a paw. You can then be sure that if the food is gone your hedgehog has eaten it and not the neighbourhood moggie!
